My association with the UU church began in 1973 in Berkeley. I was very active and was part of the Membership Committee, the Endowment Committee, the Board of Trustees (where I served as President), and the Ministerial Search Committee.
After moving to San Diego in 1996, I joined FUUSD in 1998. I have served as co-chair of the Leadership Development Committee, the Environmental Task Force, the Planned Giving Committee, and Voluntary Simplicity. I have been a Covenant Group Leader for two years. I have participated in neighborhood groups, Women Together weekends, the Women's Federation, the Social Justice Listening Project, and pledge drives. I have gone to District meetings, four General Assemblies and a Large Church Conference.
The church is very important to me and I believe its sustenance and growth are needed in this world. I am a retired high school English and reading teacher.
