Over my 25-year membership with First UU, I’ve served as Women Together Chair, RE teacher, and "Alice in Blunderland" cast and crew member. I've been a member and leader of the Wednesday morning Buddhist Sangha. Recently, I co-chaired the Search Committee that brought Rev. Kathleen Owens as Associate Minister. Currently, I coordinate the Lay Pastoral Care Group, am a member of Kathleen’s Committee on Ministry and a member of the Care Advisory Committee. I am a part of a covenant group and compassion fatigue affinity group.
Professionally, I am a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist in private practice in Hillcrest. I also supervise young clinicians at a child abuse prevention agency.
I am respectful of the difficult and necessary work of the leaders of this church community, and this is why I am interested in serving on the Board. If accepted as Secretary, I would commit to serving with depth and integrity.
