My Wife Kristin and I found First Church in 2003 while we were expecting our first child; having been raised Catholic, we now know better than to raise our kids in that same rigid, non-progressive structure. We consider ourselves recovering Catholics. I am currently working in the higher education industry while earning my doctorate in education leadership.

I am a first generation American being born of parents from two different countries in the continent of Africa, and I still adhere too many of those traditions, spoken language, and customs and intend to instill that same stability and history of self in my children Adewole and Ikela.

Through some twist of fate, I recently found myself serving on the board and I must say it has been most eye opening. I hope to see other people fairly new to the church as well, putting themselves forward for this kind of service because that is how organizations grow and evolve for the better.
